URL Redirect Manager for OpenCart

AW Redirect Manager is a two-in-one tool for OpenCart 2.3 - 3.x: a managed redirect rules list and an automatic 404 resolver. It is designed for store migrations - moving from Shopify, PrestaShop, a custom engine, or plain HTML to OpenCart - where old URLs are unpredictable and must be caught individually. The module is built entirely on the OpenCart event system, so no OCMOD file patches are applied and no modification cache refresh is required after installation.

Redirect Rules

Every rule maps a source URL to a target URL with a redirect code: 301 Moved Permanently, 302 Found, or 410 Gone. Rules support two match modes:

• Exact match - the source must equal the requested path precisely, e.g. /old-page.
• Wildcard match - a * anywhere in the source turns the rule into a pattern, e.g. /blog/* catches all old blog URLs.

Matching is case-insensitive and trailing-slash-insensitive. Enable Match Query String per rule to also compare query parameters - useful for legacy non-SEF URLs like catalog.php?id=5. A built-in loop guard prevents a redirect whose target equals its source. All active rules are compiled into a single hot-cache entry so a cache hit costs zero database queries.

404 Resolver

Every URL that returns a 404 is logged automatically - deduplicated by URL hash with a hit counter and a last-seen timestamp. From the log you can open the Add Redirect form with the source pre-filled, bulk-redirect selected URLs to the homepage in one click, or simply delete noise entries. Ignore Patterns in Settings let you suppress bot-generated paths such as *.php or /wp-* so the log stays useful.
